Cumbrian Folktales and Easter Egg Roll

Join us at the Armitt for a day of terrific tales and traditional Easter egg roll with Taffy Thomas, the first storytelling laureate. Join us either morning or afternoon, or if you’re feeling particularly enthusiastic both, as Taffy Thomas entertains us with tales from the Tale Coat, which will, for one day only, be returning to the Armitt for the first time since its debut in 1998.

After each storytelling session, attendees will have the opportunity to decorate their own eggs (artificial) and compete in a traditional egg roll on the hill near the museum. Attendees will be able to take their creations home, and copies of Taffy’s ‘Lakeland Folk Tales for Children’ will be available for purchase on the day.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
