An Evening of Cumbrian music

This evening of traditional Cumbrian music will be performed by the Lakeland Fiddlers. There will be tracks from their newly released album “The Happy Meeting” amongst others. The Armitt is also going to feature, not only as the venue host, but through some of the music scores from in the collection. These will actually be played by the band so that old time tunes can once again be heard.

The Lakeland Fiddlers is a community band with a fluid membership formed in 2000. They specialise in promoting and performing Lakeland Fiddle tunes. The Lakeland Fiddlers have performed regularly at all manner of local festivals, fairs and galas. Their repertoire, naturally enough, focuses on (although without consisting quite exclusively of) fiddle tunes from the local region (the Lake District).
